David Phipps

Mr. Phipps received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech in 1986. He began working at UNISYS as a software engineer for the defense contractor in Reston, Virginia. He continued this career path at Digital Signal Corporation until 1990, when he entered the MBA program at the University of Michigan. Mr. Phipps concentration was in Finance and Strategy, and he graduated with Distinction in 1992.

After graduation, Mr. Phipps joined Chase Manhattan Bank as an Associate in Special Loans, Mergers, and Acquisitions in New York City. In 1996, he was hired by JPMorgan Securities as a Vice President of High Yield Research. While at JPMorgan, he published research covering industries, new issues, earnings and other events in technology, chemical, healthcare, retail and distribution industries. He was rated #1 high yield technology analyst by Institutional Investor in 200, 2001, and 2002.

In 2003, David Phipps became Managing Director at Advent Capital Management. In early 2007, he joined Citigroup Global Markets as Director, High Yield Desk Analyst. He was responsible for producing trade ideas, analyzing evolving event situations, and providing market commentary for the loan, high yield and investment grade technology sector.
