Biography

Mr. Malone is a licensed attorney and is still engaged in the practice of law. His focus has traditionally concerned civil litigation, with emphasis in commercial and environmental law. Mr. Malone has previously worked for large civil defense law firms in both West Virginia and Tennessee. Before graduating from Vermont Law School, Mr. Malone clerked for an insurance defense firm in Illinois and interned in the felony division of the Illinois State Attorney’s Office.

Prior to Virginia Tech, Mr. Malone taught Anglo-American Commercial Law at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany. He was also involved with the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Team at Bucerius, that competed in Vienna, Austria. Additionally, Mr. Malone has taught Criminal Procedure at Lincoln College.
