Biography
Jason Malone is an Associate Professor of Practice in the Department of Finance, Insurance, and Business Law. His current research focuses on the intersection of technology, finance, and law. Professor Malone’s scholarship has been published in multiple law journals, including Berkeley’s Business Law Journal, North Dakota Law Review, Creighton Law Review, and Jurimetrics: The Journal of Law, Science, and Technology. His scholarship has been cited by federal and state courts. Professor Malone is also the sole author of the Legal Environment of Business; Practical Considerations published by West Academic
Professor Malone has received multiple teaching awards, including the University Teaching Scholar Award for Teaching Large Classes, Warren L. Holtzman Outstanding Educator, and the Pamplin College of Business’s Certificate of Teaching Excellence. He holds service roles at the University, College and Departmental levels. He is the coordinator for FIN 3054 The Legal and Ethical Environment of Business and the prelaw advisor for the College of Business.
Professor Malone maintains an active license to practice law.
