We would like to congratulate Dr. Janine Hiller for being granted the title Professor Emerita of Business Law by the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors.

The emerita title is granted to retired professors, associate professors, and administrative officers who are recommended to the board by the Virginia Tech President.

Dr. Hiller worked for Virginia Tech for over 40 years as faculty in the Department of Finance, Insurance, and Business Law. Since 198, she has made a considerable contribution to the program with her works within the department, college and university. Dr. Hiller created and taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in business law, ethics, and information technology.

In addition, Dr. Hiller was very active in the Virginia Tech community outside of her position, serving as faculty advisor in the University Honor System, associate dean of graduate and international affairs in Pamplin and much more.
