Markus Lithell

Biography

Dr. Lithell's research interests are in corporate finance, focusing on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and the relationship between public and private capital, as well as entrepreneurial finance. His work has been published in the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, presented at major conferences such as the AFA Annual Meeting, FIRS Conference, and SFS Cavalcade, and cited by media outlets including The New York Times. He teaches courses in corporate finance at Virginia Tech. Dr. Lithell joins Virginia Tech from the Norwegian School of Economics (PhD) by way of the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth (Postdoc).
