Amin earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from the Sharif University of Technology. Amin has experience developing trading algorithms and designing high frequency trading packages while working on the Tehran Stock Exchange. He joined Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business in 2017 to pursue a Ph.D. in Finance and is expected to graduate in the Spring of 2022.  

Amin’s primary research interests include empirical asset pricing and institutional investing. During his Ph.D., Amin teaches “Introduction to Finance”. He is also Teaching Assistant for Ph.D. level courses such as “Financial Econometrics”, “Investments II”, “Time Series Analysis”, and “Bayesian Methods and Applications”.
